Small SUV, Huge Potential: The Brand-New Škoda Kamiq
The brand new Škoda Kodiaq is the second generation of this SUV and has been redesigned from the inside out to create a new and fresh generation of a large utilitarian car loved by many.
Diving straight into the redesigned exterior, the bonnet dominates the look with a sculpted shape for increased aerodynamics. Adding to the presence of this new model, the hexagonal grille will be illuminated by 14 LED light elements to create a light strip effect between each headlight.
The roof line of the SUV has been elongated to further maximise the aerodynamic potential of the vehicle and slopes elegantly towards the rear of the car giving it heightened drag efficiency.
The rear of the car is characterised by a large tailgate allowing convenient access to the expansive boot space and for added design flair, a diffuser sits integrated into the bodywork to round off the new exterior architecture of the Kodiaq.
Taking a closer look at the interior, the new Kodiaq has even more space than its previous model with 61 millimetres in extra length of the car and 15 millimetres more headroom in the back. Boot capacity has also been increased a huge 75 litres in the 5-seat model and an extra 70 in the 7-seat version.
Sitting in the front seats you can also see the scale of the upgraded technology in the all-new Kodiaq with a 13” infotainment screen with the latest software and Smart Dials which control multiple cockpit and vehicle functions. Staying with the tech theme, for the very first time in the Kodiaq sits a 10” Virtual Cockpit including a head-up display creating a tech savvy customers dream.
The Kodiaq’s new interior also features some small surprises like an umbrella, ice scraper and display cleaner that are stored in a small compartment in the centre console. The interior design also takes inspiration from that of the Enyaq with coordinating materials across all surfaces and 3 interior option packages, Loft, Lounge and Suite.
This new generation of Kodiaq looks to be fantastic andis a great option for growing families coming in a 5 or 7 seat model and with that extra headroom and boot capacity, it’s fantastic for those considering taking the family on a road trip during the summer months!
