The CUPRA Born has been given a fresh look for 2026, but this is more than a quick change to the headlights and bumpers.
The New CUPRA Born introduces a redesigned exterior, an updated interior, new technology and improvements to range and everyday usability. The result is a familiar electric hatchback that has moved closer to the design of CUPRA's latest models.
If you already know the Born, there’s plenty that will feel familiar. But look a little closer and quite a lot has changed.
Here’s what you need to know about the New CUPRA Born for 2026.
The biggest change you'll notice is the styling.
The Born's overall shape remains familiar, but the front and rear have been redesigned to give the car a sharper appearance and bring it in line with newer CUPRA models.
At the front, there's a new bumper and grille design alongside CUPRA's distinctive three-triangle light signature. Matrix LED headlights are also available for the first time on the Born.
Move around the back and you'll find new 3D rear lighting, an illuminated CUPRA logo, a redesigned bumper and a more prominent diffuser.
It's still recognisably a Born, it just looks noticeably fresher.
The changes continue once you get inside.
One of the most noticeable upgrades is directly in front of the driver. The previous smaller display has been replaced by a new 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, providing more space for driving information and navigation.
There's also a 12.9-inch infotainment display running a new Android-based operating system.
And there's a welcome change for anyone who prefers a physical button: the redesigned steering wheel introduces mechanical controls for functions including audio, phone and dashboard menus.
They're relatively small changes individually, but they're the sort of things you interact with every time you drive.

There are also new 19 and 20-inch alloy wheel designs, with copper finishes available if you want more of CUPRA's signature colour to come through.
The 2026 UK range includes V1, V2 and VZ models.
The V1 starts the range with features including 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, keyless entry and the new 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit.
V2 adds equipment including electrically adjustable memory bucket seats, a top-view camera and head-up display.
At the top of the range, the VZ focuses more heavily on performance and adds features including CUP bucket seats, Matrix LED headlights and the Sennheiser sound system.
The changes to the New CUPRA Born don't completely reinvent the car – and they don't need to.
Instead, CUPRA has updated the areas that matter. The design is sharper, the interior technology has moved forward, there are useful improvements to the controls and regenerative braking, and longer-range versions make the Born more practical for drivers who regularly travel further.
