Mike Pulman owner of Pulman Group Limited has been named a North East business Titan, in recognition of their outstanding leadership, significant impact and contribution to the regional business community. Winning the Legacy Builders Award.
The North East Business Titans programme celebrates business leaders from organisations of all sizes who demonstrate outstanding leadership, measurable impact and a meaningful contribution to the regional economy. Delivered by Portfolio North in partnership with Bradley Hall and Barclays Corporate Banking, the initiative shines a spotlight on the often unsung business heroes whose work plays a vital role in driving growth and opportunity across the North East.
Mike Pulman and the Pulman Group were recognised with the Legacy Builder Award for the company’s impressive growth since it was founded in 1998 and its ongoing commitment to supporting local communities. From a single site, the family-owned business has grown into five locations representing six Volkswagen Group brands and employing more than 250 people. Throughout this growth, Pulman has built a strong reputation for delivering a fantastic customer experience while creating opportunities through innovation, investing in its people and giving back to the areas it serves. The award celebrates organisations and leaders who make a lasting impact through their growth, leadership and dedication to their communities.
Michael Lines, Managing Director comments: “Winning the Legacy Builder Award is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Pulman and a real reflection of the dedication, passion and hard work shown by our team over many years. Mike’s vision, positivity and leadership have shaped the culture and direction of the business, encouraging innovation and a strong focus on delivering a fantastic customer experience. His commitment to our people and the communities we serve has helped pave the way for the Pulman Group we see today and this recognition is something the whole team can be incredibly proud of.”
Cassie Moyse, Director at Bradley Hall and publisher of Portfolio North, said:
“Being named a Business Titan is no small feat. Nominees underwent a rigorous process including shortlisting, assessment by an expert judging panel and final inclusion in the awards programme.
This year’s successful leaders were featured in a special edition insert in Issue 34 of Portfolio North, showcasing their achievements as part of a wider celebration of the North East’s outstanding business talent. The programme recognises leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership, measurable impact and a positive contribution to the regional business community.”
