Škoda’s Newest EV: The Elroq

The Elroq made its world premiere last night where it took centre stage at the media cube in Prague city centre and fans of Škoda were wowed by the new model. The Elroq has been dubbed by Škoda as “drawing a line in the sand as a seminal moment for Škoda”.

According to Škoda, the Elroq is marking the start of a new “electrification” era provoking emotional response in addition to the now iconic Škoda reputation of practicality, intelligence and value.

Compact 

The Elroq is the world’s first electric compact SUV which is ideal for families with a considerately designed interior to maximise space and comfort while also adopting a compact exterior for great manoeuvrability. The Elroq offers 470 litres of boot space which is even ideal for taking it on holiday with you.

Accessible 

Škoda are priding themselves on the accessibility of this new model and so they should be for achieving parity on price with its internal combustion engine sibling the Karoq. If you haven’t considered an electric vehicle in the past because of price, all that may be about to change.

Comprehensive

The trim selection for the Elroq aims to be comprehensive and maintain a high spec across every option from the styling to the interior and extra features. The trim levels will be fully customisable for buyers ensuring they choose the perfect options for their Elroq. It also comes in three different battery options with ranges from 230 to 360 miles, comparable to the same mileage as a combustion engine car.

Design

The Elroq is the first of Škoda’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design models which brings a robust look to the car as well as remaining aerodynamic and commanding on the road. This marks a sharp change in Škoda’s design but aims to make the car look and feel as good as it drives.
