Not One, But TWO GTX Models Unveiled!
Recently unveiled by Volkswagen are the brand new GTX Tourer models of the ID.3 and ID.7. The all-electric sporty models join the existing line up of the ID.4 and ID.5 GTX models.
The GTX Tourer gives the cars a sportier and sleeker look while adding elements for a more dynamic driving experience.
The ID.3 GTX Tourer
Inside the ID.3 GTX model is the same magnet synchronous motor that features in the ID.4, ID.5 and the new ID.7 model which produces a power output of 286PS, translating to a 0-62mph time of just six seconds.
The new ID.3 GTX has high performance figures and an approximate battery range of 370 miles. A fantastic feature of this model is It’s 79kWh battery can support rapid charging when plugged in at appropriate charging points so you can continue your journey even quicker.
It’s also been fitted with a new adaptive sports DCC running gear which makes it sporty and gives the car excellent, dynamic handling for when your journey takes you onto winding roads.
The ID.7 GTX Tourer
The ID.7 GTX Tourer is the most powerful Volkswagen estate car to date. It even outperforms the Golf R Estate when it comes to power outputs.
The ID.7s powertrain is dual motor and all-wheel drive offering a strong output of 340PS, that’s 20PS more than the Golf R Estate. That’s a huge performance gap!
When it comes to its lithium-ion battery range, this car has an approximate range of 390 miles and as before with the ID.3, can be rapid charged up to 200kW.
And as you would expect in the ID.7 there has been no compromise on boot space which matches the standard ID.7 models 605 litres of luggage space, and that’s with the rear seats in their standard position, not folded down.
Boasting a whopping 1,714 litres of space when the rear seats are folded down, this car has almost 2 metres of load area!
Style and Technology
Both cars have been kitted out with the most stylish accessories and up to date tech you could ask for.
Starting with the dynamic styling cues, they both have honeycomb grilles, glossy black styling elements and distinctive 20” alloy wheels. Plus, the interior is true to the sporty nature of the GTX models.
The technology inside these two new models is also the latest with up-to-date hardware and software installed as standard. You can even customise your favourites buttons on the infotainment system.
Volkswagen have also announced that their infotainment systems for these cars will be integrated with ChatGPT, an AI software set to provide limitless information from online resources.
Adding to these futuristic functions is Volkswagen’s new Wellness app. This app can adjust the vehicles functions to improve your wellbeing while you drive or charge your car. It can adjust features such as ambient lighting, music and seat massage functions.
