Pulman’s story in Sunderland spans nearly two decades of investment and growth. In 2008, Pulman acquired the former Mill Garages dealership on Newcastle Road, rebranding it as Pulman Volkswagen Sunderland, later expanding to include Škoda and creating an award-winning multi-brand site.
In 2010, Pulman expanded further with the acquisition of Alexandra Bridge Cars, bringing SEAT into the Pulman offering. And in 2020, Pulman launched CUPRA Sunderland on the same Southwick site, introducing one of the UK’s most exciting performance brands to local drivers and creating additional employment opportunities.
